When we think “yoga” we think poses (asana) and holding our body in specific positions—but true yoga is more about self-realization than posing. This class incorporates the many facets of asana—breathing, mindfulness, slowing down, examining challenges and intentions—and integrates them on many levels, including modifications addressing specific issues of the shoulders, hips, back and spine. This class may look traditional—students standing in Warrior pose—but its goal is to go beyond the pose and integrate fresh energies into body, mind and spirit.
